Version 0.9.2 - General Improvements


Thank you everyone for continued support! This update features general improvements to the game. There's a few content-related features and things I want to do short term, but these changes are so good that I'd like to get them out right away, and leave the content stuff on my mind for the next couple of weeks.

The CPU now features some conditional logic on what actions each character will take. This is a work in progress, as getting parity with what the player is doing is very hard. This is important for IoP's CPU, though, so I'm happy I was able to get this working. This may set back the CPU characters quite a lot, so the game may have gotten a lot easier. Enjoy it while it lasts.

From here, I'd like to work on some background images, revamping existing events, adding new events, and balancing out and bugfixing anything that crops up from this version. 

Version 0.9.2 - GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • Improved the game guide to generally explain a few more things.
  • Many various small fixes.
  • ADDED: A Nerd Stats passage to display the amount of times you've taken certain actions. I will use this to balance AI action results. If you have an AI balance concern - take note of these counts at certain points and share them! It's accessible from looking at yourself and the debug menu.
  • ADDED: Quick scroll link on dungeon screen for the shop.
  • FIXED: Several abilities apparently could be learned but not used.
  • ADDED: Success on Encounter -> Parley/Fight have been improved and can be influenced by having certain things or advantages over the subject.
  • The CPU now uses some conditional logic for taking its turn. While this is far from complete - it is currently much better than the old CPU-turn stuff, and should make the game more wild.
  • ADDED: A dedicated Loading Dialog. You may now load from anywhere!
