Development Needs for Version 2.0?

Yup. Still homeless. Iiiiiiiit sucks.

I'm hopeful that soon I can summon the courage and time and focus and clarity to get all the the improvements of the last year into this game. Sadly, I lost some progress, but the big issue here is banging this game into a better product.

Images:

I feel like I should try a bit harder to have images in The Opal of Narsine by doing them myself, but I am terrible at that. Illustrations are very expensive. I have no solution for this other than making a lot of money, and I'm fairly committed to keeping this game free. They will have to come as they can.

Chapter 5:

Man, I really wish I had finished this. Chapter 5 was to mark the path to a true end with Narsine and require the player to really engage with the nobility and kingdom. Supporting Narsine when she's an element that's fairly out of control would be awesome, but those kind of features are things I would want in a bigger game with a better technological base. If Unity can be trusted in the future, or if GODOT becomes easily viable - That bigger and better version of this game I had in my head would make Narsine a constant presence, and an uncontrolled one.

Tech updates:

It's been a few years since I got to 1.0.0 with this game, and I've learned a bit more and developed some techniques for solving issues I had with this game. I'd definitely want a 2.0 to have the potential for revamped systems and mechanics, but alas, I am but one homeless guy. I would definitely like to know what everyone would think be cool to add within the framework of the current game and what they think is currently lacking.
