The Crown of Narsine

The Crown of Narsine is a Ren'Py remake of one of my first games, The Opal of Narsine.

You are a low ranking noble of privileged birth trying to win the heart of your beloved Narsine - daughter of a duke. Gather and manage your resources, reputation, and your temperamental retainers to find the treasure that will win the heart of your beloved and then fulfill your destiny at her side!

The game is a turn-based strategy RPG with one important feature: You are not the main character. You are supporting Narsine for reasons beyond your own infatuation. Narsine will be a consistent partner through the whole game, making her own decisions and trying to achieve her own goals. You will be helping each other.

Every day you make choices and commit to a task, and handle the events that happen between yourself and Narsine. Events can be resolved in different ways. As you progress, acquire certain things, make certain choices, or deploy different retainers, you gain access to different events!

Take care, though! There's always bad with the good! Your retainers are people, too - not only are you subject to the consequences of their behavior, but you can absolutely anger them enough to refuse to work for you. If they get too injured, they die! 

As well - because you are in love far beyond your station - you must tread the waters of aristocracy carefully! The wrong moves can eventually ruin your reputation and any chances of success or survival!

You are not alone, though. By supporting Narsine - your true love - in her ambitions and goals, you may enjoy the benefit of having friends in high places.

• Branching storyline based upon your decisions. You will have different problems to handle based upon who you hire, what you do with some people, and other choices!
